My next addition to the rear will be those frame braces.

Don’t know what to say but I’m most definitely an inch plus further forward than factory. Full bump should be the furthest back it will get.

I was trying to find some shots when I was still SOA and yeah, I think you’re probably an inch forward. Odd.

    Yes

at bump is the axle actually forward of center of oe bump center line ? seems like if you were an inch forward your drive shaft would be bottomed out too ?

i know your on 37’s and you have 3rd fen glass on a 2nd gen so just wondering if those factors contribute to the visual ?

Slip joint in some tacomas has enough forward slip.

The tires are centered in OE wheel wells every time, not sure about aftermarket market bed sides

Mine most definitely is not centered. We have measured against other trucks and once we factor in the pivots and LT we come up with about 1.25” further forward. And I’m quite sure I can’t fuck up a bolt on kit

I’ve compared with others as well as far as hole location in the front mount. Everyone else is further back. So either my truck is and has been off since new, or somehow the hanger wasn’t cut or assembled right. It’s not a big deal as I have it handled. But it is in fact not centered. Likely why I had to have my shaft shortened as well.

If only I could convince myself links are worth it on a frame rail truck.

After driving/riding in @tacotunner06 's linked truck with frame rails... I gotta go with it being worth it. especially if the frame was notched. Only on a caged truck though I'd say links without a cage seems a bit goofy. Though a big part of how sweet Chris' truck is also has a lot to do with having 2x the power of stock.

I don’t doubt it’s fun and better. But if I’m dumping 30k to link something, it’s not going to be a frame rail truck.

Total Chaos mid-travel front. JD Fab SUA rear.
Not going to repeat what has been said already regarding selling his own product. When I was SOA and with archive hangers, my truck ride better than without the hangers even with king oem shocks. Now having the JD fab frame brace kit, SUA and 14” bypasses, it rides like a dream and should have done it from the beginning. I am also a GFC camper owner with extra weight in the bed than most (see: overlander). Sure there are different companies essentially making the same/similar product but what sold me was the minimalist non-intrusive shock tower. Some may opt for the big bed cage, but I did not. I could not see any SOA kit on the market outperforming a good SUA setup. Good luck on your decision. Buy once, cry once. Unlike me…

Did you mean SUA instead of SOA when you upgraded with the JDfab kit? I'm hearing a lot of good things about their sua kit other than 906tacos wheelbase that shrunk lol
