You’re probably right, but I really wish you weren’t.

Pony up for a built 4l80 and be done. Won’t be cheap but you won’t have issues anymore.

    Any recommendations on from where?

just thinking out loud, gonna have to get my tcase resplined, will need a new torque converter, will need a new harness, will need a new trans mount, might not even fit underneath the truck, will need my driveshafts lengthened or shortened probably. Ugh.

Personally, the only place I’d be calling is maximum. See what they can do that will fit your budget. Off-road transmissions are what they do.

~6k is what I was told from maximum. Includes converter and all the ancillary shit I need. Includes me sending my tcase to them and them getting everything assembled.

Orrrrrr I send them my 4L75E to have it rebuilt and gone through by them. That way I don’t have to drop so much cash on new converter, new harness, new front and rear driveshaft, new crossmember, and avoid a 4L80 more than likely not fitting back in the truck.

And my dumbass will stop driving off-road in overdrive.

Dude. A 4l75 is basically a 4l60. They can’t even stay alive in the trucks they came in stock. Don’t punish yourself even more.

    Any thoughts on a TH400 from them instead of a 4L80E? @tacotunner06 @906taco
