I filled the cooler with 99% isopropyl after this. I’m letting it sit right now. I flushed with the hose in a few different orientations and from both ports in every orientation. I’ll drain the isopropyl and call this good. The ATF that came out of the trans looked fine, it didn’t look any more disconcerting than normal used ATF.

Just filled and drained the cooler twice with ATF to clear any alcohol residue or any residual water. Runs super clear(red), just like it’s coming out of the bottle. This thing has gotta be spotless on the inside.

Replied to your DM on IG. We need to get together and see what we can come up with! Need to see it in person and brainstorm.

I'm looking to get new coilovers.

I want fox because of the DSC, the adjustability within the DSC is pretty badass. My dad has a Can am XRC that has the factory IBP fox coilovers with DSC, and the tunability within that is awesome.

Now, fox doesn't sell an 8" coilover that's also an IBP, which is why I've considered king.

However king doesn't seem to have the adjustability like fox does with the DSC.

I'm pretty dead set on only running a single shock in the front, which is why I would prefer an Ibp coilover.

    Any input would be appreciated!

    ADS makes IBP shocks.
Just remember, to make changes, you have to pull apart to change valves/shims on it.
You can get adjusters on your resi if you want also.

Ah, could always call and see if they can custom make stuff. If not try WheelEveryweekend? He builds/rebuilds shocks and may be able to make a hodgepodge setup of King 8" IBP with DSC reservoirs

The fox resis with the adjusters can be bought on their own. I like them too in function, but the adjuster parts themselves are really poorly engineered imo. Any dirt or road salt gets in them at all and they refuse to turn and the detents give up on life. Then you gotta take them apart and clean/grease them which is tedious at best. Wayyyyy more happy with the ADS adjusters on my front coils

Why not just go external bypass with secondary shock? IBP is nice bling, but it's expensive and I've heard the tunability isn't as great as an external bypass. Unless you're talking about the electronically adjustable shiz. That stuff is cool, and then ADS has some crazy looking multi-bypass coilover that costs a good chunk.

    Mostly about cost and performance.

I could get a pair of king 3.0 IBP coilovers for $3000

Or a Fox 2.5 DSC with secondary bypasses for about $5500.

If I can get close(?) to secondary shock performance, even though I'll will still be lacking, I'm happy to pay for an IBP coilover. I also don't think I need a secondary shock for the stuff I do yet

I see. How do you plan on mounting a 3.0 CO? Problem with the stock coil bucket on most bolt on LT setups, you have to use a coil bucket adapter that allow for a long enough lower rod end for the springs to clear the tie-rods. Unless you ditch the coil bucket, packaging a 3.0 CO will be difficult let alone making sure they clear the tie-rods at the bottom end.

That's a lot of dough on shocks. If you play your cards right you can get into the dual shock game for less. IDK if you have 8" CO's already, but you can find them on the used market for chunk less. I paid $1500 for mine, and occasionally see bypasses on the used market for close to 2k new. After that it's just a matter of getting the shock hoop burned in.

Not saying a 3.0 IBP CO is a bad idea, if you decide its worth the headache, could be pretty badass and still perform well.

Key word is 'yet'. You will want as soon as you hit the dirt. I agree with regular coil overs then add the secondary shock with bypasses.

I figured since king makes a oem length 3.0, it would fit fine. But who knows. I know of one other member on here with the 3.0 IBP coilovers on his 2g, but not sure what it took to fit those.

I've been looking on marketplace for normal 8" coilovers but everything is either beat to shit or just old.

Wheel every weekend has a great article comparing IBP shocks

Biggest things of note to me is with a 2.5 fox ibp you only have a 2” piston, king 2.5 ibp you will have a 2.5 piston but it is only position sensitive on compression, so no top out zone.

@Bandido is also playing with some raptor live valve takeoffs and an SDI e-click system.
