this is exactly what I do too. A little antisieze in the cup before I press in.
My first set of uniballs I would spray out with air and gently scrub with a toothbrush every few months. Then apply some tri-flow when I did that.
I ran for about 60k miles but probably should have changed them out around 45 or 50 at the most. Mostly daily driving with about six off-road trips a year. I tried to avoid mud when I can.

This second set, I am trying to run them without any tri-flow or lube. I found that, even though is a dry lube, gunk would still build up in its puddle, left like a waxy If you got too much pulled in one spot.
So far, one year and 10,000 miles they don’t squeak at all and look fine.

Thank you both. When I install my new uniballs after powdercoat, I'll make sure to do that

100 trouble free miles so far! It just keeps getting better as all of the pivots start to wear in!

I get a very strong sense, this will be going into production if things keep going the way they are!

Is anyone running the 3" bulge Fiberwerx bedsides and could share smoe pictures? TW searches for bedsides are a shitshow.

I'm hoping I can get away with 3" over the 6" on my 35s with SUA.

It feels like I'm pretty close with stock. Fuck it, maybe I'll do the front while I'm at it.:bananadead:

    Yes
Are you running wheel spacers on the back ? you need to make sure that you are wide enough that your tires will tuck at bump or you will end up having to chop your glass

Depending on offset you should be fine with 3”. With 37’s and -38’s plus 1.25 spacers my 37’s tuck into +6 with some trimming. But she’s one wide gal.

Yeah, I’m running Method 703’s in 17x8.5 in 0 offset with 1.25 spacers in the rear. I think I’ll just sneak by with 3” and don’t want to go too wide.

I’m just barely too fat at 30 PSI.

Truthfully, I’d just trim what you have after seeing the pictures. Glass is cool and all if you can fit and finish. But if you can’t it’s not cheap. Then you can have the enjoyment of spider cracking etc.

Yeah, I’m going to trim it and see where it gets me. My concern was I still have quite a bit of slack left in the limits on the opposite side in that shot so not sure I’ll have much left after the trim.

I could have easily stuffed 37’s at this point with SUA.

Same exact wheel and tire package as I have today. Just in “mid travel” form.

You won’t regret keeping factory metal anywhere you can.

Nah more glass is better….lol I need to get some 6” bedsides since my tires stick out like 2” past my current bedsides… but I do have a one piece front end though which the tires are just inside of.
