One slight issue with my “crawl rocks and go fast on the segments in between” strategy is.. tire pressure.

14 psi + 55 mph + small rocks = sidewall puncture on my 10 ply, I guess. Pinch I guess? Impressed. It was like an inch up from the bead ring.

14 for trails is a tad low - high teens low twenties might be a better pressure for that

Gotta say. This whole IPad/Onx/pivot case is 100% worth it!

10/10, do not mount where I did if you still have them air bag things.

BFG’s are just known for shitting out sidewalls. Plenty of folks out there experienced the exact same thing. BFG’s are factually one of the worst tires money can buy.

I’ve been wheeling hard at 14 rear 16 front for years without a single issue.

This is the first time I've ever had KO2s blow out on me like that but I'm usually crawling on rocks or at 22-25 PSI. This is the first time I've tried going fast that low so it's probably related. I went up to 25 after this and was fine the rest of the day.

I'll probably try some Duratracs when I blow through my spares. I live at 7000ft and I'm too lazy to change tires in winter on three separate cars so Duratracs/KO2s are usually the best bet. But maybe I should step being so lazy.

Just type “BFG sidewall failure” on google. Pages and pages. For the price you could definitely get into something higher quality like a Mickey.

Duratracs used to have weaker side walls too but I don't know about the new version. I do really like the Baja boss at on my tundra that are snowflake rated, but they are pricey

I’ve beat the piss out of pitbull 35s 10 ply? at 8-12 psi going fast and other than stuffing the front skid in the ground on jumps haven’t had an issue. Same thing for 37 yoko m/ts 8 ply at 12 psi but crawling hard I like them at 6 so I’m more careful going fast. I think they are great tires and unless you are really in rocks 10-12 is ok.

this video is pitbulls at 15, they suck in rain and snow but hopefully this shows the right tire won’t have an issue at reasonably low pressure.

I’ve seen issues with bfg, cooper, nitto, milestar etc sidewalls. Even bfg reds are known for trash sidewalls

This website has them for a good price right now if anyone is looking for Baja A/T’s. Just used this site for a price match on a fresh set.

Yeah, money isn't really the issue and the Baja Boss AT isn't much more than the KO2 anyways. They aren't exactly cheap.

I've never had an issue with my KO2s in the rocks at slow speeds. It's not like the sidewall blew out, either, just a 1/4" tear in the sidewall that looks like a pinch flat. But not happy regardless. I don't daily this so maybe a more competition oriented sticky tired wouldn't be a bad idea anyways. Keep the remaining KO2s as spares and run a dedicated winter tire in the off season.

Pricey but worth it. My Baja Boss MT’s are the first tire I’ll run to the bitter end and replace with the same exact thing. I probably have all of 40k on these things too. Air down to 14/16 psi every weekend.

I finally got bigger tires 2020 Long Travel Tacoma 1997 MAGNUM
So I got a question. I am assembling my leafs back together, and I didn't take before pictures.

The bottom 3 leafs, the holes that the centering pin go through are offset. By the pictures that I took, did I put it together right?

    Yes I know I'm retarded

How loud are they on road?

I have the Baja boss AT’s and they’re a great dirt tire but quiet on the road.

Honestly one of the quieter MT’s I’ve ran. You know they are aggressive but it’s not over the top.
