More I study the top it looks similar enough to OEM if it’s not. Would the bottom work as a spare?

Yeah. Just under 60k miles on the truck. I only have 32" tires with basically 0 offset rims. I thought the stock rack would last longer.

They make a XHD and XXHD leaf packs. Have the XXHD pack it’s super thick. Considering going down as it def does the job but almost too well.

I was thinking if you had the tundra rack with the offset bushings they could be slipping and not the rack jumping teeth…
But most likely the rack jumping teeth in this case

Build thread in sig... 4-link long travel
im building my back half on coilovers right now. plan to be drivable in less than a month :fingerscrossed:.

I tow a boat a few miles to the ramp almost every weekend for about 7-8 months of the year. i think it was actually someone in this thread that originally suggested this to me when i asked a similar question. i'm going to be using air shocks when i tow. i'll mount them in a way that i can just undo the axle side bolt, and swing them up into the frame when i'm not towing. these are the only two images i could find of a similar setup. first photo show the air shock mounted, second photo shows the air shock stowed.

now of course these photos show a limited travel setup. i dont need two feet of travel when i'm towing a boat, so i'll likely only be using 10'' stroke shock. but if you're wanting to maintain your overall travel numbers, you're going to need a much longer air shock, or this may not be the right solution for you.

looks like a bit of a pain in the ass for the guy in the stowed photo to access them. looks like he has to pull the spare tires, but i won't have a bed in the way, so it should only take a minute or two per side to switch between towing and not towing.

Yes it was and looked rad. Dirt head Dave has a few bagged link trucks on his channel.
