I asked earlier, any suggestions on using AG shock mounts with the DK or DMZ kit? Is it a waste of time?

I can't imagine why it wouldn't work, you'll probably just need to move the lower shock mounts on the axles around to match. Are you changing shocks as well? It might be worth running a crossbar between the towers for some additional rigidity but that's up to you.

I was thinking of a removable cross bar, goal is to keep the bed open so I can put two dirt bikes back there. unload ride all day, then rally the truck at night.

That's what I'm going to do. Have my buddy make a U shaped bar that runs from shock hoops along back of bed. Going to use mounting bolt for shocks to tie into. Won't be a strong as a bed cage but should keep the towers away from each other.

As I'm shopping around for rear shocks, I am debating between a 2.5 or a 3.0? Obviously overkill is cooler, but I have no idea what I should do

2.5 is sufficient for 98% of users

I can see that for sure

I don't know how many people think this way but, after spending a shit ton of money (and the truck is no where near "finished"), I feel like I'll be too scared to actually use it  2.5 does sound enough
