I did mock up with metal. Only way you can do it and still cycle everything.

Ive stabbed in a few Jasper Remans very recently for a local City supplied by them who are trying to keep their aging fleet alive.

Curious how the top link plays in. I’m sure it’s there to keep the cylinder from rotating around the rod, but it can’t be a fixed connection at the end or it won’t move. Can’t be a slot or it won’t keep the ram from rotating.

It’s an interesting scenario to release pricing before a single prototype is built, installed and tested. Lots going on with steering. And a computer isn’t going to show half of it.

It travels in an arc so it rotates around the ram shaft a bit through its travel.

They have one on a 4600 FJ that should race hammers #674

To be honest it seems pretty complicated to me, but excited to see how it performs because it could be a nice option for a lot more power.

Last I knew it hadn’t been installed on anything. Maybe I’m entirely wrong on that.

Seems like it would create some weird geometry doing that, but maybe I’m not seeing it correctly. Either way, I like the idea. Curious to see how it plays out. Definitely be snapping some lower ball joint bolts on our rigs with full hydro haha

You aren’t wrong in your thinking. Movement should be limited to one plane. Most swingsets move in an up down or forward back motion. This is going to roll on the ram. Effectively creating an arc.

Not saying it won’t work and it won’t be stronger. However, the factory crossmember cannot sustain the pressure. It’s all .090 material.

Without an engine cage and serious reinforcement, it’s going to be hard keeping the frame happy.

This is the biggest reason we opted to have my swingset an in house install only type of deal. I’d rather never install one than chance a failure.

It’s a huge ask of the supporting parts around it. You’re kinda turning your wheels/tires into tractor buckets with full hydro lol it’s a totally different experience having steering that moves the vehicle in the rocks and doesn’t skip a beat doing it. Better have some solid support downstream.

Yup! Even mine with hydro assist is comparable to full hydro in the power department. I can quite literally slide my truck across blacktop if I steer off of a curb.

What's everyone running for valving on rear bypasses? Just ordered my shocks and they come 15/12. Will be a light setup and am going to see what Tim at dmz says for leafpack.

15/8 was the valving that DMZ put in for my kit.

DMZ is going to tell you his pack if you’re running his kit. His leaf pack is basically in between H70 and H70HD. It’s my opinion, but I don’t think the H70 pack is enough for really even a stock truck. H70HD and if it’s too stout pull the 5th leaf.

That's what i meant is heavy or light from him. I have never seen a single sua that had light duty springs regardless of weight

JD was preaching straight H70’s early on but I don’t know about now. I went to HD’s out of the gate and haven’t looked back. Though I am due for a new pack as they are clapped.

Gotcha. Brave to test first prototypes on a race truck but hope it does well.
