These guys are the goats. I called them needing some line for my Tacoma, they made them that hour, and I had them the next day in less than 24 hours.

Hush Hush? Fox live valve has been around for a number of years in some form or another. There are a number of videos out there of Fox testing. They even discuss it on their website. What Is FOX Live Valve? - FOX Academy

I want to say their oem production version is not quite the same as their motorsports version. Only based on TT testing videos where they blur out the screens during tuning/programming

Don't forget the Fox designer and programmer, Mike Kim, is Polvardes co-dog and makes these changes from the right seat on the fly. And since they teamed with Menzies for the B1K this year I'm sure Menzies has this package now.

I wonder if using the Ford Diagnostic Software if I'm able to get in there and change some stuff around.. its just abunch of 01010101's and servos that make up the system right?

Currently putting in a fresh new long block and this one happens to have the Live System..

theres a ton of differences (and possibilities) in the software side especially, but the valve itself is basically the same. As I understand it, and from what I have seen, there are some shocks out there running a valve on each external bypass, meaning multiple valves per shock and multiple possible settings for each bypass at basically any point in time. idk if this is an R&D thing from Fox or a private setup.

the OEM application includes internal bypasses (twin-tube type which I think Fox has the patent on still?) and its really more like a spool valve in the place of a traditional clicker secondary valving set, and this basically acts as an adjustable needle style internal bypass as it can rapidly change the secondary valving during a heave event, not just changing the overall curve for the session like a traditional clicker. And while I don't have a raptor, I understand the OEM software side of things typically sets the valve to behave according to their specific terrain setting, not as aggressively trying to emulate a true external bypass shock like the SDI software does (or thats my take at east)

my own setup at this point is just 3.1 live valve shocks + the SDI controller. I did build my own circuit initially, before the SDI unit was available, but that really only let me run full soft or full stiff, and unreliably ???? in between, more like an electronic clicker. The SDI unit uses an accelerometer to make corrections, but also has the terrain pre-set behaviors, but allows more user configurations than I guess ford does

I’d be willing to bet the TT setups are monitoring pretty much everything from shaft speeds to shock oil temps vehicle speed, yaw, etc and making adjustments as they go to eliminate fade, driver fatigue and abuse on the vehicle it’s self.

Start talking about electronic tuning on shocks and you are talking absolute endless possibilities on what can be achieved.

I believe you are correct with Polvoorde. Every bypass tube has a live valve and I believe even his coilovers have some sort of electronic adjustment on it. Haven’t caught his spec truck up close in person nor his new TT. Pretty bummed about their badluck this last 1000, I really thought him and Bryce would have overall’d it.

I think it may honestly be a Mason thing. I saw some pictures of Menzies truck last year and he definitely had some electrical stuff hanging on his shocks. These mason trucks have been so dang dominant and I don’t think it’s just the AWD making them this way.

    Yes
I saw a video that showed side by side video comparison of rwd tt vs awd/4wd and the awd truck was something like 30% faster exiting turns / carrying speed through turns.

No doubt. But there’s other AWD TT’s out there as well. But mason is consistently on the podium. Maybe their program is just that much better. Idk. But they definitely have some witchcraft with them trucks.

The Jimco AWD TT that Robmac was driving for a short little bit..had the Fox Live System and Lofton's Mason AWD TT behind the Jimco. Both are AWD but have completely different handling characteristics.

I wouldn’t doubt that one could put that same shock package onto any other chassis, granted the geometry might be slightly different. They would just tune for each chassis.

Who in here has a better understanding of electronics than I do?

I put a 40a dc-dc charger in my trailer, that gets power from the 7 pin connector, and charges the trailer’s battery. In 40a mode, I just get a fault light. In 20a mode, it’ll run periodically, then shut off, then run, then shut off. When it runs, it pulls the voltage down at the input to 11.5v, and when it kicks back off it goes back up to 13.8v. Is this charger just too big to run off of the 7 pin?
