Yeah, when I got on my computer I noticed that it's super tight. Definitely an interesting design, that puts a lot of shear stress on that bolt where the bypass mounts tho, wonder how it held up:cool:

He probably installed the adapter upside down. Easy mistake the make.

If it's installed incorrectly, the weight of the vehicle is supported by a C-clip instead of a welded steel ring.

That's probably why the new kits come with a Grade 10 bolts now for that adapter now:cool:

the 2" are NOT hubcentric...only lugcentric. I just ordered some 2" last night but am leary on a lugcentric spacer...

I dont get it though because tc uses the standard 5/8th hardware and i havent heard of any failures, some bent but never snapped.

Thats what I meant, that the 1.5" are also hub centric which kinda makes me want them instead of the 2". Edited original post because the wording was misleading

1.5" All Pro - hub centric AND lug centric - APO-6850-AP-HC
    [IMG]

    2.0" All Pro - ONLY lug centric - APO-6800-AP-TS-18-2

The difference is the lip in the center. One centers the wheel with both and one uses just the lugs

Maybe improperly strapped and when the lower uni-ball maxes out all the the force is applied to the bottom misalignment spacer since the upper doesn't hit the edge of the cup because they use that special bolt. I hope that makes sense my brain is still asleep.

Doesn'r really matter if they and your wheels are installed properlyand torqued properly. The lug-centric are easier to get vibes from the wheel not being dead on center if lugnuts arent torqued evenly

Oh that makes sense as with tc theres less shock load to the bolt as it hits the lower misalignment and the head of the allen bolt at the same time.

will my tundra snap the lug centrics off? or would that just be insane if i did? like running a wheel off or something? as long as everything is installed properly and tightened right it should be fine am i right?
