Bluetaco80 went from a 8 to 12 he said he gained like 2 more inchs with going to 12s but the dual rates are freaking nice in the front its super smooth

Would 12s mess geomety ur kit that bad?

well my kit wont get that much travel so thats not really what im trying to accomplish ya know? stupid ball joints. but i will be upgrading in the near future with uniballs. hopefully upper and lower so maybe that will come into play then. i just hear when people switch to dual rate springs their performance of their shocks are so much better and its so much smoother.

You can build a well gusseted hoop for an 8in coilover and be able to go out and actually run your truck.

Or you can spend a lot more money on shocks you really dont need and then have to build an engine cage to tie off of the massive hoops you just had to make in order for it to even be remotely reliably funtional.

    Im in awwww

You can't make hamburger out of horse shit Eric! LOL

BTW I'm really just giving you shit cuz I'm bored at work. But really

my buddies Mazzula silverado has dual rate coil overs and pulls like 19" of travel, also is beyond smooth as a daily driver.

my truck is already going in for a engine cage. so a well gusseted hoop for 8 inch shocks and a engine cage. or 10s or 12s ran off the engine cage.

going from 8s to 102 or 12s really isnt much more money and if i wait i can find a deal. plus my truck needs to go back to the shop and finish the cage (engine cage, bed cage, gusseting, door bars etc) so while it sits there getting this shit done i can be watching for a good deal and swoop em up then bam my truck is just that much better. this will also give me time to do the rear end too. so its really a win win for me IMO.

So just run the 12s for the bigger dual springs and more oil and just strap it before you Max out your kit would that work?

Any silverado with a Mazzula kit is no where near any comparison to a Tacoma.

Got any pics of this truck? I could squeeze one off real quick hahaha

yeah, ill position the coilovers so theres like 1/4-1/2 inch of shaft left after i strap it

well yeah but its much smoother with the dual rate. without it it wouldnt be such a beast:)
