Long Travel BS Thread

Let's add a little bit of seriousness. The raptor frame is the exact same as the f150. The front coil bucket, same. The only think they did was add a spacer push out the coilover to allow for the longer travel. The spacer is tapered and pushes out the fox shocks from the factory location allowing a different mount point on the lower ARM to allow for the travel

Ouch, those leafs looked sacked out and de-arch'd already. Anybody know how much those trucks weigh?

 

Dont get me wrong I like the Raptors and i wouldnt hesistate to drive one if i could, but for the price you can build a fully caged tacoma bumper to bumper.

IMO i dont think theres enough ground clearance in the front of these trucks. And from what ive seen on youtubes all the owners take the raptor out on fireroads or powerline roads and blast 80mph and think theyre bad ass. Ive seen a Jetta fly down a fireroad in Barstow going 55mph. Then there are the owners who huck the shit outta their raptors and wonder why the frame bends. youtubes it mang!

i dont know how much they weight, but the truck just looks heavy

 

I was thinking I was told 5200 from a guy who owns one. That was actual weight on his scrap metal scales when the truck was stock.
