    ...too much shit to list.

    You're a smart man.
Giant sells a full kit for the 1st gen (I actually have it on my truck), but I won't recommend them. Their shackle design sucks and they're honestly kind of a pain in the ass to deal with.

There's quite a few companys that offer the shackles, hangers, ubolt kit, and shock mounts.
    As an example, TC:

Pick up a set of Deaver f67's and have a cage built and you're set.

you'll need a whole new leaf pack, the long travel leafs are 61.5" and are much longer than stock leafs.

    http://www.chaosfab.com/toyaccess_rearsus.html

    12" shackles
    front spring hangers
    shackle pivot gussets
    u bolt plates

the spring perches (plates) are here

    http://www.kartek.com/Product/Suspension/UboltPlates.html

you'll also need new lower shock tabs and limit straps and want a poly bump stop. TC has bling lower shock tabs but you can have some made for a lot cheaper... they just wont have the sex appeal.

i wouldn't recomend running this set up with the icon shocks. it'll just be too much work, to try and make it work, and it wont really work...

keep saving the $$$ and just do it right the first time, you'll be much happier

Agreed, piece it together and take your time to make some of the easy stuff. I just did a complete rear LT for under $1500 (plus whatever you have to pay a fabricator to install)

IMO gussiting a stock bent hanger would be like putting a bandaid on a turd... Cut it off and build a good one!

On a side note. For all the shit you guys have gone through with leafs you could have linked your trucks twice!

    Think about this.

    For leafs you need:
    Leafs
    Hangers
    Shocks
    Bedcage
    Limit straps
    Bumps

For short course links you need:
    Links (strait tubing and heims)
    Mounts
    Coilovers
    Bedcage
    Limit straps
    Bumps

Pretty good point! And short course style links don't have as much sway as reg. TT style links so it'd def. be do able for a DD.(pretty sure anyways)

I've actually considered this as I'd be able to pull decent travel & maintain my clearance for the trials/rocks. Only problem I for see for me is I have a lot of camping gear so it'd take some work to find the proper spring rate:cool:

Easier than finding the right leaf spring!

that is not a pic of the defined springpack! they have never been triplewrapped and dont really need it unless you plan on recklessly hitting big rocks. krish also has the standard pack and not the XL pack, but the only difference is an additional spring added in the appropriate place

Don't forget you have to move your gas tank for the upper links and run a trussed housing too.
