    u pay someone who ownes a shop under the table, the guy smogs some random ass car in the shop and sends it in to dmv with ur vehicles vin# and ect. my buddy has a ford 427 in his beamed out/ linked ranger and drives on the street because of it

    There are legal ways to do it too.
    If the motor is newer than the vehicle and you have all the smog equipment from the newer vehicle, you can make an appt with DMV referee. They go through it with a fine tooth comb, but still legal. They'll put a new sticker on the door panel afterwards so you can get it smogged anywhere after.

    Ends up being waay cheaper too. I have to do under the table with my stang, gets more expensive every year.

    felt a weird "wobble" from the rear end of my truck today. crawled under it, found a very loose spring hanger bolt. problem solved, but while i was under there i checked a lot of other bolts and looked over the frame and blah blah blah...

    my tranny moves a lot!!! any other 1st gens got this going on? the rubber mounts look used, but not worn out... i'm shocked how much movement it has just pushing on it with one hand

    Yup, I cringe when I see my shifter flopping around. The next thing for my list is solid motor/trans mounts, then poly body mounts

    i bought my truck brand new in 04 and when i was driving it home right after i bought it and the shifter was moving around and i thought to myself...WTF?

    yes, doesn't everybody's do that?
