Is there a reason the toyovette doesn't see dirt?

Other than the rear window looking like shit... MJP's set up is way cleaner for passing tubes through the cab.

I bet because a trans axle is expensive as fuck. Not sure how I feel about that truck.

It works pretty well. I saw it at the plaster city race earlier this year until the transaxle blew up on the third lap right in front of me. It will smoke all our trucks by a long shot. I'll search for the pics and I think I have a vid clip of it.

I googled Chapala Dusters and its a group that races Baja Bugs so that could explain why that truck has a trailing arm style rear end

motor mounts arent an issue, it's the frame around the motor mounts that cave in a need to be reinforced.

    Do all the gussets!

I've seen the way you play in the dirt. Anything to save your coil buckets and frame would be great. I would reinforce as much as you can afford. Cause when it breaks it will be way more expensive to fix than if you had reinforced it earlier.

I did the whole gusset, can tab, motor mount, coil tower route. I'm much more confident in my rigs ability to take abuse.

u have to remove the old cam tabs and weld the TC ones on. They are just bigger and beefier. I didnt bother with that and got my cams tacked, even though every single one of my cam tabs are bent almost flush haha. Im getting weld washers installed within the next week or so.

The cam tabs add more material around the frame. You only weld the tabs not the bolt. That way you can remove or replace the bolt if necessary.

Here is a pic of my tabs. It's all I got for reference.

I highly recommend the cam tab gussets..my alignment guy was doing the alignment and one of the shitty stock ones bent and just fell off. No point in doing the alignment if they aren't going to stay in place. I had the SD truck shop put mine on.
