I have recently been looking into running a long travel kit. One thing I would like to avoid is running fiberglass fenders because I don’t really like the look of them or the idea of cutting apart the body. My question is whether or not I would be able to run a +2, +3.5, or even a +4 long travel kit without doing fiberglass fenders? For reference I don’t plan on jumping the truck or anything extreme and for most of the time probably not even using the full range of travel. Thanks for any info as I’m just getting into this type of thing

    Two things to consider,
First you will have to limit your bump travel as the wheel well arch will be roughly in the middle of your tire and won't be able to tuck in.
Second depending on the kit if it has built in caster you'll rub when turning.

So I can run these kits if I limit travel? Also what would I rub on when I turn. I plan on having a different front bumper along with it?

Why not just keep it mid-travel and not have to worry about all the headache that comes along with LT?

I'm 1/2 way done with a +3.5 camburg install. I just measured it and if you were to use the stock bumps, 31" tires would hit the stock fenders. moved down the stock bump point by 1/2" you should be able to clear 32" tires and possibly 33".

    Going back to real simple
I was about to go LT suspension. Even had the fenders bought and ready to be vinyl wrapped. Then had a change of plans and am now going back to college so I need all the money I can get. I’m selling a set of fiberglass fenders if you end up choosing to go that route

Why spend all that money and time if you’re not going to do anything related to what the kit is intended for? Like someone else mentioned, get a solid MT set up and be done with it.
