    The reason I am asking is because I am already running the Maxtrac spindles. Is there a way to check and see if the Maxtrac spindles would be compatible the the lower uniball adaptor?

    Our uniball adaptor is 3/4" thick. Measure your spindles to see if that will fit into it.

    I ordered a total chaos spring under kit with deaver heavy duty springs. I'm going to start slow then do full travel. I will have a mid travel front and use the stock shock mount with the spring under kit. I'm planning on full long travel in a couple years so once I get a long travel front, I will do a bed cage with shocks in the back. My question is that right now I have icon 2.0 shocks on the back and was wondering if these will work. I asked a guy at total chaos and he didn't know. He told me to call the shock company to see what size I need. If the shocks I have now won't work, do you know what size I need for now to use this kit with the stock shock mount?

    And I didn't realize this was only a mid travel kit at the time, I thought it was a long travel that I could use the stock shock location until I decided to cut my bed to make a cage.

    ditto. If you're planning to go LT for sure, just save up and do the rear right the first time. I ran LT rear with Mid travel front for a while.

    Between dmz, giant, and defined sua, which gives the smoothest ride? (I have emailed the companies directly but I also want tacomaworld opinions). I have a MT front, no intention of going with a LT front, I just want a significant upgrade to my rear suspension. I would love to have more bump travel, I just don't know how different it will feel compared to my current all pro standard soa leafs, besides not bottoming out so quickly.

    That isnt an easy question to answer. Its all based on your truck, your tires, bed weight, type of shocks, tuned shocks, hydro bumps or rubber bumps, is it installed correctly. Sounds like you should have gone with the expo pack if you are bottoming out the standard pack quickly.

    Smoothest ride will depend on how well the shocks are valved and tuned for your use, truck, weight balance, etc. The more travel you have to work with, the better the ride you can achieve through proper tuning.

    Defined pulls the least travel of all of those kits. That said, mine rides great - and is set up to handle a substantial amount of weight.

    Ha Yea I figured it's not easy and there are a ton of variables.
    I have 255 85 r16 km2s so I know that doesn't help with a smooth ride, unless I'm aired down offroad. I have a dcsb, only carry a hilift and 2 jerry cans in my bed. I have wheelers super bumps and fox 2.0 remote resevior rear shocks. My rear feels stiff, it's just there is only 2 inches between my bump stops and the strike plate, the the bump stop has 2in or so of compression, so 4in of bump travel just runs out real quick. I didnt go with expos because I didn't think I carried enough to warrant them.

    If I went sua, I would have to change my rear shocks (I want 2.0 king remote resevior with compression adjustment, either 12 or 14 in) and either king or icon bumps. I assume having compression adjustment would definitely help.

    Thanks for the reply! Just trying to learn all I can before I jump into this. I want to get the king or icon bumps first, and if that doesn't improve my ride like I hope, I'll probably go sua. I fear I'll drop all of this money on it, and then it will feel great going fast offroad, but be even more stiff on road.

    From what I've seen I don't think I need huge travel numbers, because a lot the difference between kits.is droop, while they all achieve relatively the same bump travel? So if defined pulls the least, that's OK.

    I guess it would depend on if you adjusted your shocks, but did you drive it without all for the extra weight at all?

    Yea sounds like you need to revalve your rear shock if you're slamming bumps so quickly. But, I would highly recommend you go with a bedcage and 16" bypasses, doubles at least. I dont know about Defined kits, @Mxpatriot can probably speak up, but most of the SUA kits on the market use 16" shocks generally, and bypasses allow you to adjust your valving kiind of.

    I have a plate bumper, a rear mounted winch, a 35" spare, a hi lift, a shovel, an axe, and a fire extinguisher 24/7. I go up in weight to bed rack, RTT, and a bed full of fuel and camping gear occasionally.

    Bump travel is relatively the same across the SUA kits, you are correct. But you have to understand that the rear end droops into holes and stuff, so it's not like the only travel you use to absorb bumps is your bump travel.

    I'm happy with the defined kit. It took minimum fab work to install. I have 16" double bypasses on a bed cage and they work great.

    Sua up travel is not necessarily the same between all setups, from what I've seen. The springs u use and how they r setup makes a difference. Like the difference between a old clapped out leaf springs and new high arched. F55 or F67 deavers vs 50t or E30/H70 deavers. I've seen guys ( @nelson18matt and @jberry813 )with little uptravel swap to 50t and gain a lot of uptravel and some droop.

    They have more arch to them, gives you more up travel. Pretty sure when Matt switched over he even gained a bit of droop. Plush... That's gonna come down to shock valving and weight in bed etc... I would call deaver and give him specs and what u desire out of it and get a custom pack. That was my plan but came up on 50ts for a great price. Jason ha f67's and now is rocking 50ts still I belive and he carries a lo of supplies and a trailer sometimes, he may be able to answer better

    I would personally avoid the defined kit. i don't like mine and have a buddy that doesn't care for his. Spend the extra money and don't compromise by going with the defined kit. If you are mostly gonna crawl with it you'll be fine but if you want to go fast it sucks compared to the dmz or TC kit

    I keep hearing bad things about defined, so that's good to know. Why does it suck when you go fast?
