These numbers a straight-off the alighnment print-out on my 2006 Tacoma 4x4. I am not trained in alignments, so I'm not the one to ask these questions.

    Good luck,

    Blackhawke88:

If your truck is turning in too much and/or the steering does not have any on-center feel (twitchy), you want more, not less, negative camber (bigger negative number). My negative camber settings are bit more than Toyota recommends for stock.

Use the quote button. And I think you meant caster not camber. Caster affects the steering wanting to turn back to center. Blackhawke stated earlier more caster makes you straighter. Less camber makes you turn "tighter" or "twitchier" in the feel of the wheel. Thats why when you go in reverse your wheels want to turn.

Ahh nice..ok I can do that. Still trying to think of a way to gusset the shock tower since it had to be cut. Any ideas?

Camburg and Total Chaos both make secondary shock hoop kits with a plate to reinforce the top of the bucket. That plate is the only piece I used on my setup:

As for the side, the TC coil bucket gussets do double-duty as they also double-shear the UCA mounts:

^ note how they tie into the coil bucket behind the UCA mount from the frame right on up the sides.

Hey MJP2 when you put yours on did you need the longer bolt only because of the heims? I noticed Total Chaos wecite says only works with TC but I dont see why it wouldnt work with Camburg too. The only reason I could see is if those gussets are way thicker than the washer that is currently in it

It was the combination of the gussets and the heims. Had I opted to only run 1 of those items, the stock bolts would have been fine.

The custom bolts were expensive but necessary. A cheaper option would be a 14mm grade 8 all-thread rod cut to the appropriate lengths, but I'd only consider route when running heim joints.

The solo ones are more expensive though. So if I just did the gussets and not the heims I should be ok with stock length bolt. Good info guys I'll be getting one of those soon

Should be. I had enough threads to bite on the stock bolt but wanted extra length to get a jam nut on there for racing.
