First of all, great post mjp2!! I can't tell you how many posts I have read from you that have really inspired me to add more to my truck. Thank you and damn you at the same time :)

I read through this thread and it has really pushed me towards getting LT. I really like all pro and I also like the fact that I do not have to get new fenders. It will def take me a little time to save up and get the kit. But I also wanted to make sure that I am buying the right suspension kit also. I personally don't feel that I need to drop the money on fox or anything too expensive because I do not plan on doing anything to crazy off road. The kit I have been really considering buying is the OME kit on toytec. Will this kit work ok with the all pro LT kit?

I also plan on purchasing the all pro Standard Duty Rear Leaf Springs (Pair) - 3" lift. I will stick with the add a leaf for now with the OME until I save some more money for the leaf kit with all pro.

If none of this make sense, I am sorry, I am still really new to with all this and I am trying to learn the best I can. Any information will be greatly appreciated! Thank you

You need a threaded body 2.5 coilover with the allpro kit. Unfortunatly toytec or OME will not work. You would need either fox, icon, Walker evans, king or saw. Im not sure but Allpro may use a special length as well.

you'll be fine with out them for a while. you can hit the dirt and not have them, and be ok. but the sooner you get them on, the better. they are cheap insurance

Rondog did you also gusset or put at least a bead on the outside of your alignment cam tabs? If your arms are in its too late you'll melt the bushings but you want to do that asap too

Will I be able to do my daily driving without the double shear/coil buckets for a week or two or is that a bad idea?

Most people never install them. Just keep the big air hucks to a minimum until you finish gusseting everything. :)

Alright perfect. You guys have been so helpful. I am a noob when it comes to long travel. My install has been such a PITA being 4wd and having the procomp 6" DB lift, but I am 90% sure we are finishing tonight. We have the two resi's to mount, one limit strap, grease all the zerts and put the tie rods back in! I cannot wait, this work day is going to go by slow i'm sure.

Just wanted to say thanks for all the info. After lots of reading about this, calling a bunch of fab places, running with an LT 1st gen Tacoma in Ocotillo last weekend and advice from nelson18matt and jberry813...I'm starting to lean towards an LT set up to be completed hopefully by this time next year. Going to start with the rear first and run that for a while.

Hey you guys all have some badass LT kits, I am really looking into doing this to and I was wondering if any of you could tell me what a rough estimate would be to have a shop installing the long travel front suspension.

Its 8 hours of work as quoted by total chaos on the distributer sheet for a basic kit without 4wd and no gussets. So that can give you a good estimate. I havent gotten my final quote but the install of the kit, 4wd axles, cam gussets, UCA gussets, a bumper, fiberglass fitiment and paint and alignment is going to run me 2-3k I imagine.

Does that include the payment for parts or just for installing a welding?

no dude, thats just install and welding

to properly do the front end, and gusset and weld the necessary weak parts

for cost of parts and labor your are looking at $5-6K...just for the front
