Any one have any good ideas about upgrading their steering in a 1st gen truck? I blow through racks a lot. well mainly the Clevis bolts and end up messing up the end of the rack. Have a fully build 1450 truck LS1 swap linked cage the whole 9 stock steering is the last item.

Any ideas out there or anyone already solved this issue? rear mounted rack limits my options

put a Howe rack in with a custom bump steer bracket. Nobody builds a kit or a solution for these trucks so it will have to be 100% custom.

That's what im leaning towards. Its getting the u joints from the wheel to the center of the rack that's the issue. Max out the joints to make such a tight angle.

Stole these from another forum, have zero info about it other than the owner posted them and said it works great. Appears to be fully hydraulic.

Its a brace that slides left to right to reduce flex. There was a post in LT bs thread a couple weeks ago. TNT Fab I think is the company mentioned. There a couple guys on here that have ones similar but they are custom
