 This is worse then seeing a trailer to a movie and having to wait for it to come out! I can't wait to see this all done.

There's definately some bailing wire and duck tape action going on, but it is mobile and it drives straight and nothing fell off or broke on it's maiden voyage.

There is still a lot of work to be done, but from here on out it's all small stuff and as soon as I clean up the fuel lines, the brake lines, and some wiring under the hood I can start wheeling again.

Adjustable bump can mounts mocked up tonight. The truck is sitting about 3" below right height so the pads will be further from the axle tube when it's sitting level.

Got the sliders and bumper bolted back on tonight. None too much room to spare, but enough.

It's headed to ADS tomorrow to have some spring and shock work done and I'll get the reservoir cans mounted. First wheeling trip is planned for Saturday morning. Won't have the bed on by then most likely but I don't need it to wheel.

Replaced the springs with 300/250/100 tenders, adjusted the valving, re-routed the resi hoses and added some billet clamps to put the resi bodies where they belonged in the first placed. Also fixed my ghetto rigged fuel line so now it's semi-safe to drive. So far she rides like a dream. Can't wait to hit the dirt in a few days.

    Thanks.

Tonight I'll mount the bump pads and lower limit strap tabs and figure out how I wan to to make the upper strap mounts adjustable. I'm probably going to re-design these trailing arms for future runs as there was way too much welding involved and they could be much more easily fabbed. I'm going to put a manual proportioning valve up front for the rear brakes and then drive and test and tune for a bit while I fab up a new rear axle housing using the Toyota 3rd member. Should be a bolt in job with this system, if I do my part correctly and design it well.

Passed emissions this morning and put it up on the ramp. It has more travel left in it, but I have to trim the bumper side pieces before they eat the tire I learned. I'd never planned for this much travel when I built that 5 years ago.

Took it easy on day 1 this weekend just to get a feel for things. I adjusted the bump height last night and the pressure before heading out again today. A few photos from the trip.

I laid into it pretty good today to really test the strength and durability of the arms. No dents, but a few good scratches and I bumped them pretty good on a couple climbs. Broke both front CV's but no other failures.

I've achieved my goals. Drove 90 to and from the trail with 1 hand on the wheel and it drives really nice in the dirt. I might change of the crossmember design just a bit for revision 2 but nothing major.

My other baby. Built that one from the ground up.

Powertrain is era made performance upgrades only so it makes between 23-25hp for now. I have a few other things planned but they'll be era made parts as well. The sheetmetal is all me because I didn't have anything to start with. 1923 Model T Speedster. Run a couple races a year in it and tour in it about once a month. The rest of the time it's my grocery getter and yes I have to start it with the hand crank up front. lol. It'll run about 62 mph on flat ground, but that's cooking on a tire that's only about 4" wide and a spindle that about 1" in diameter.

Because 90 percent of the average builders don't know how to weld, or own a welder, or shouldn't be welding when it comes to life, limb, and property and because nobody else has done it. If it can be bolted on, it can be welded on should you choose, but not the other way around.
