it does a bit, not a whole lot since my light bar is behind the windshield. In the future I may add some black vinyl to the hood. I get glare from the sun light a lot during sunrise/sunset.

ooohhh, haha, don't really notice is a whole lot. My roof rack blocks most of it. ( my real intention for having a roof rack was to act as a wind blocker ) I'll try to get a front profile shot later.

Hey Alex, for the shower, I'm reading that there's real concern with regard to coolant leaks if the heat exchanger ever cracks for any reason. One issue is how to bleed the water out of the system when not in use so that if it gets down to (or below) freezing temperature, there isn't a crack from ice that causes a coolant leak. However, for drainage to be effective, the heat exchanger will need to be mounted vertically or inverted such that water will drain out when the lines are purged.

Ill check back a couple pages and see if you mention it, but what size awning is that? I ordered the 79".

I've only read that the heat exchanger gets hot and the water in it evaporates quickly. The waterlines are the only part that need to actually be drained, and if you have on board air it's easy enough to blow them out after each use so you don't get mildew and crap in them.

I am new to the on board hot water idea though and have only read a bit on expo about them.

Honestly I have not tried them yet, I didn't build them until after my last trip. I am using caribiner type clips at the top & bottom so I can remove it easily.

Guess could always blow it out with air. There's barely ever any water left in there as the way I have it mounted it drains most of it out. Worse case if the unit breaks I'll keep a double barb fitting and just connect both coolant lines together.

I'm using the 6.5ft Awning. I also recently purchased the mosquito netting for it.

As far as keeping the lines clear/clean I've been considering different options. Maybe use a tiny bleach mixture and blow it through the lines? May be hard to blow all the water out.

Ok cool same one as mine then. Bobby offered me the 55" awning but 79" just seems way more useful. Do you have any pictures of it set up?

    lol nice!

I've done the same, then I got branches and crap stuck in-between. So going to try these out next trail. If not they can serve other uses.

yup. Doesn't work sometimes depending on the angle of the sun. lol So you may have to position your truck for best results.

we usually dont have that problem out here :D

its usually friday night when we get to camp and a torrential downpour starts. between the awning and an ez up shelter, we should be able to stay much drier and happier.

nice! I dropped off my annex room to have the zipper replaced. And hopefully get my truck back at the end of this week. It's at the shop getting a leak fixed. Then I can finally set everything up! RTT/Annex & Awning/Mosquito Net
