Everyone got smart and sold their trucks. Those days were very fun.

All the old guys started going on DezertRangers and Race-Dezert. Then everyone started buying 2009+ tacos and hopped on Tacomaworld and the cycle started all over again.

and people on this forum need to calm down and not get so defensive, you have to understand that threads like 'KINGS vs FOX's' "Which kit is the best" 'LT the front first' have been on ttora and other forums since 2006 and beat like a dead horse.

Its really interesting to see because I remember on TTORA there was a run every other week just like on this website now. Hopefully in the next 5 years everyone doesnt sell their trucks and are still close buddies LOL

The offtopic forum is still active on ttora. The interweb is still evolving. Soon these forums will just be apps on smartphones. Meanwhile, back at the ranch...

    mine was a little different

05 ToyotaNation- Stumbled on website when they first opened their 2005+ forum. Cant believe I wanted to buy a bullbar and a spacer lift.

06 Customtacos- Met a bunch of local people who are still my close friends till this day. Annual Huntington Beach meets met Mohawk Mike LOL

06 TTORA- Learned alot of techinical details of the truck, met some great friends on this site. And spectated Races. Did not get alot of support and respect from the crawlers on that forum.

07 SocalTundras- Many more friends and bigger desert runs

08 DezertRangers- Learned about more technical things, shock tuning, LT kits. Learned what a deadtube was, what DOM and 4130 stood for and especially, became a legitimate Interwebz Fabricator :p DezertRangers Hooters meets were fun, good to learn more about fords and chevy's

2011 Tacomaworld- met some real enthusiastic individuals who love the desert....no wonder Mohawk Mike jumped on this forum when it first came up. He knew the other forums were dying. The truck was getting old for me and Expensive, glad i found this site. Feels good giving advice cause i asked the same questions 5 years ago LOL

I dig it. I'm learning there is more to LT than mashing the skinny pedal and aiming for the horizon. The desert is fun, but there are wolves, bears, cougars, elk, wild horses, etc up here that makes you want to slow down and enjoy the scenery a little more. We've been doing more low range expedition stuff and I'm really starting to wonder why I was so amped on joining the Army and getting out of this "shithole" when I was a teenager. It's good to be home.

    i hear ya...

i think now that im getting older, or at least feeling like im aging, i keep finding myself slowing down out in the desert and wanting to take in the beauty of nature... almost want to stop and pick the flowers... hahaha

the expedition runs seem to be more attractive to me now...

hahaha serious man, too many good times on those forums....started the whole desert obscession when i was 19 and Im 26 now! Wish I took photography or JiuJitsu during that time, I wouldve been a black belt by now.

All I get now are Maddogs from Broskis's, an empty wallet and shitty gas mileage.
