Oh it is. Very satisfying being able to say we built the entire truck ourselves

    wow great project!

this is exactly what I need to push the wheels and axles I have :D

An engine swap like this is more expensive than what people realize. You guys make it look so easy and cheap. But it ain't!!

turned out great. I think this is the 2nd tacoma ever that I have seen with an LS swap. Perhaps there are others out there, but it is not very common.

Awesome work, I can certainly appreciate the work you have put in, as @1999RegCab said, you made it look easy, and its not.

So made some good progress on the interior. Got most of the frame built for the center console. Now we just have to skin it and mount all the shifters. Also got most of the interior pieces back together and fixed the bird nest wiring job done on my alarm by the guys that installed it.

The holley efi dash came in and it is too big to mount where the stock cluster goes and if we did somehow fit it in there the wheel is stuck all the way down and the dash is at to hard of an angle. We did discover that it is the perfect size to mount where the radio goes. So now i am going to get a single din radio (wanted one anyway) mount it in the center console above the shifters and put the holley dash in its place. If we were to put the holley dash on the center console it would still be at a bad angle and would have a bad glare. I also put the trans temp and fuel level where the old cluster used to be.

Center console is basically done. We are taking it to a friend who is a aluminium welding god. Just need to make a small trim piece around the tcase shifters and mount my switch panels. Once its welded together it will bolt to the frame of the console and will be removable. 20170708_171725.jpg 20170708_154614.jpg

Interior is a little different now. Need to weld it up, mount my switch panels, and most importantly a cup holder lol.

Im not afraid to admit he helps me a little. But that's a small amount. Family business so i work ALOT (80-100hrs a week) which pays for it. Its not like i say dad give me your credit card i want this. More like he will pay for something to keep the project going and becuase we love building cool shit together and i have to pay it back down the road. Cant remember the exact color but its a gm gunmetal grey. I'll have to look back at the lineX paperwork to find out the exact color code.

I understand what your saying. Didnt take it as you saying he pays for it all. He loves it just as much as i do. Thats just what we like to do. I was brought up around building custom cars trucks bikes or whatever else we might be working on lol. Next project he wants to do is a '68 camero
