Got in my truck today and hit the start button, it turned over for about 6-8 seconds without firing. Once I realized it wasn't starting, I hit the button again to shut it down. A few seconds went by and it started up just fine. Hasn't happened again, just thought I would share and see if anyone else has had this happen.

I have 6 MT, so no button start. However I have noticied that sometimes I have to crank it 2 or 3 times before it will start. My 2003 Honda Element always starts on the first try

I found another thread were someone had a similar issue, and it turned out to be a dead cell in the battery. I'll update this thread if it happens again.

Fuel pump, leaky injectors could cause this issues. Your fuel rail needs to stay fuel primed for fast start, if it's draining back to tank than it takes time to pump fuel to its working pressure. It's also could be bad spark, bad ground to engine, and many other other things that would throw CEL. First thing I would check is battery voltage and fuel pressure

I'm not checking anything, I paid 34k for this truck, Toyota can spend their time and money.
