Currently have: Curve, Lucky You, Gucci, Acqua Di Gio, and some other random fragrances. However, I find that these barely last 3 or 4 hours on me before wearing off. I realize they are not the most expensive or top of the line brands, thus, wondering what all of you use that you'd recommend that has better longevity than most...

    3-4 hours isn't bad... just reapply mid-day.

I have a couple of Imaginary Authors scents that are pretty potent and will make it the full day, but they're a bit much in the morning. They are EDP rather than EDC, so a little goes a LONG way (one squirt under each ear).

Yea I realize it isn't terrible, but I'd have to imagine there is something out there that would provide a better quality smell, while lasting throughout the entire day....

I have a Perry Ellis brand scent that lasted an entire work day for me. I worked at Lowes and I would have cashiers tell me how good I smelled my entire 8hour shift.

    Imaginary Authors runs $85.
I also have some Dior Fahrenheit that was $65. It lasts pretty well too.

My cheaper frags are from the Bigelow Elixir line... buy 2 get 1 free they worked out to $20 per. 5-shots lasts about a half day and is not too potent in the morning.

Avoid citrus. I've got some GFT Extract of West Indian Limes and it's got the half-life of antimatter. 15-30 minutes at best. Sad, because it smells GREAT, but citrus scents tend to be fleeting, and this has no vetiver or other oils to carry the scent through once the citrus is gone.

GFT Spanish Leather and GFT Eucris are good for cooler weather.

I buy my nicer frags from these guys: http://www.westcoastshaving.com/
Free shipping on orders over $85.
    The Bigelow comes from BBW.

I think the last time I wore cologne was in high school. I generally find a good wash, clean clothes and deodorant go a long way.

Not supposed to "slap" cologne on your face ;)

Cologne is more potent than aftershave. Some more than others, but most colognes should not be "splashed"
Eau de Toilette is yet more potent and needs more discretion, and finally Eau de Parfum contains the highest percentage of essential oils and needs to be used with great care to avoid being overpowering.

Example... I've got some 2ml spray-bottle samplers from Imaginary Authors, and one has lasted for 2 weeks of daily use. I like the scent, and will buy the full bottle after I work through the rest of the samplers.

Around my dipstick, but not directly from the tube... I use a larger applicator.

I found a whole bunch of vintage (70's ?) Avon men's cologne in car-shaped glass bottles at a resale shop in rural Kentucky. Just for fun, I put one drop on my finger and then on my neck just to mess with my wife. That shit stayed smellable for two days, even after all the heavy work sweating and two showers.

    Yup.

The guys on Badger & Blade are always posting their vintage Avon antique mall discoveries. A complete chess set is worth some big bucks.
