    A few details.

    1. I have done several searches and I am in information-overload mode. There are too many options with too many variables. I added and extra spring in rear ontop of the service bulletin but still the shocks bite the dust. They are KYB which is all they offer with out paying 3 times the price for the top shelf stuff which I plan on getting on a trip to the border, after I make a decision.

    2. Above all else I am looking for durability in the following conditions then comes cost effective but with my eye on ROI (return on investment)

    a. I am back in Mexico on assignment for the next 2 years and that is about what ive been getting out of the locally available shock. Just to give you an idea there are 32 speed bumps just to get to my front door. The roads in the town i live in are pot hole infested that make any fire service road look like a well maintained paved road. Its very bad.

    b. I dont plan on off-roading but my conditions are harsh with large pot holes that sneak up on you which bottom out stock suspension. It really is bad where i live.

3 .I have seen whole packages from down south motor sports which include fox up front and bilstines in rear with in rear. and there are many other options (see below)

    http://downsouthmotorsports.com/ag-15938.15970.15944-toyota-tacoma-4wd-6-lug-2007.html

    4. I plan on replacing all bushings and ball joints and id rather forgo the UCA due to cost unless it will really help me accomplish my final goal.

Help me pick something out. Like i mention above, I am thinking replacing all bushings and ball joints on the stock set-up and replacing the spring up front with Bilstines. But then I see the King option and fox and others and they are for harsh conditions so in my mind that will least longer but for me to rebuild shocks = a trip to the border (750 miles away). Really not that practical.

Again, i did my due diligence but i still am not completely confident i have selected the right option.

For just a Heavy Duty shock, the OME Nitrocharger Sports are the way to go. For more performance oriented shock, then some Icons, or Sway-a-ways, Etc.
