Curious. What's the farthest and longest you've driven in one day? Mine was well over 1100 miles and just about 18 hrs on the road (Began driving 6am, got a hotel at midnight'ish).

This wouldn't have happened if I was with other people. I was by myself so no big deal..

In my Tacoma, it would be in 2022 when my wife and I moved from California to Kentucky. We drove my Tacoma and pulled our 20' travel trailer. Because of the trailer, I couldn't get any speed, and had to stop 2 or 3 times every day to fuel up, so I never got more than maybe 400 miles in any one day. And with my wife along (although she didn't drive), we never drove more than maybe 8 hours on any one day.

Now rewind to 1986. My dad and I drove my then 1980 Toyota Hilux from Los Angeles to Montreal, Ontario, Canada to go Caribou hunting. We tag team drove, drove around 1000 - 1100 miles and about 14 - 16 hours each day. We made it each way in just at 72 hours.

I do a regular run to Lake Superior. 10 hours each way, But I try to stay for a week or so each time if possible. My Tundra was way easier on the backside.

18 hours, Charleston SC to Fort Worth, one sitting, while pulling my trailer.

I won't do it again. After that trip I made a new rule - one 8 hour day per road trip, with an ideal less than 6 hours on travel days.

A long day for me is 3-5 hours out to the coast to go surfing

One time I got stuck up at the pass when they were doing avy control on the highway and had to sleep in the truck

The way the question is asked if it was two people should the mileage be divided by 2? Mine (solo) a number of times was about 630 miles first day then another 530 the next.

24 hour round trip, from CA to Oregon and back.
My son was found in a ditch and was in the hospital.
I drove up to Oregon, picked him up and drove him home back to CA.
Drove most of the time at 80mph when I could both ways.
    Truck never failed me.

I won’t drive over 10 hours. It’s just not worth it anymore.

Mine is brand new... finally found it in Fresno, CA.
It is a 175 mile one-way trip from Sacramento to Fresno.
My wife was grumbling about having to get up early to drive to Fresno for the new truck, then driving back home again.

Years ago, I did drive non-stop from San Rafael CA to Boise, ID on a Honda 305 SuperHawk, but I'd druther have done it in the Tacoma.

AZ to CA and then CA to AZ, a little under 600 miles one way. Usually 10-12 hours depending on LA traffic, but last time was 14+ hours and was brutal.

The Tacoma isn't ideal for long distance trips.

My taco bench seat is the most comfortable seat and I just sold my 2nd gen tundra and currently have a 5th gen 4Runner but yes my 3rd gen taco seats weren’t the greatest but it was ok

Yeah my 2020 TRD offroad 4runner road much nicer, but lacked power and was kind of a brick in the wind at freeway speeds. I have seat jackers in the Tacoma which helps a little, but still not ideal for long trips.

800 mile round trip from Topanga to West Point, CA. Got up there in time to compete in the last event(timed it perfect as I was only competing in that event), which I took 1st place by a 1/10 of a second against The Man on the left of the picture. Then got back in my Taco and yeah man, the drive back down was all giggles. IMG_0358.jpg

This man is a wicked Californian! In his younger days.
