    Mostly 2-3 years, except for a 96 Dakota V-8/4x4 (6yrs), and my 07 TRD Sport 4x4 (6yrs).
26 vehicles in 40 years. Of all the good trucks, sports cars, and pieces of shit when I was younger and/or poorer, the Tacoma is the only one I bought twice. 07 & 14 TRD Sport, 4x4, access cabs. Both white by accident. Kinda did the same with women and jobs. Went blonde twice (present).

1990 Nissan hardbody - 7 years. Should never have sold it. Missed having the truck.

Bought it for $2500 and sold it for $3500 less than 4 hours after the ad posted.

I'd say my current 4Runner. Going on 4 years strong with her!

I see you're from Issaquah. I miss that place. That is where I lived when I moved to the Seattle area in 2005. Spent 2 years there, a year in Sammamish and a year in Magnolia before buying in the Kent area.

7 years! Got my '99 Passat wagon for $3,500 with less than 90,000 miles and put too much $$ in it every year. I wanted to run it to 200,000 miles. Only made it to 140,000 before I decide to trade it in for new tacoma.

'04 Wrangler for just under 5 yrs before trading it on my '11 Tacoma (which I traded for my '13 Tundra). Currently on my 26th vehicle and on average, have probably kept most of them for between 1-2 years. Had an old, POS Olds Omega once upon a time that I paid $140 for. Drove it twice before it shit the bed, but once was a road trip so I got my money's worth out of it! :)

    Let's see...

    - 1984 Mazda RX-7 GSL: Was mine for all of 2 weeks before rusted brake lines caused me to run into a tree

    - 1992 Buick Skylark: About 2 months before all the motor mounts broke and it cost more to fix than I paid for the car.

    - 1999 Hyundai Accent: Owned about a year before I jumped a curb and broke 3 and 4th gears

    - 1997 Nissan Sentra: About a year, last car I had in high school and I gave it to my dad to pay a debt when I joined the Air Force. He drove it on to 230k miles before he sold it.

    - 2001 Hyundai Tiburon: 6 months, needed a new clutch the week I bought it and it had electrical issues.

    - 2006 Ford Ranger: My first new car, drove it for 3 years before I wanted something bigger than a regular cab.

    - 2009 Jeep Grand Cherokee: Loved it at first, at about a year in not so much. The full time 4x4 was annoying and it had electrical problems. And the sunroof wouldn't close sometimes until I turned the car off and back on 3 times. Traded it after a year and a half

    - 2011 Subaru WRX: I miss this car, even if it was an impulse buy. Realized it wasn't great for daily driving though. I plan to buy an STi once my truck is paid off.

    - 2013 Toyota Tacoma: So far, I've had her a year and a half and still love her. She's going to take me to Alaska and I plan to keep her for a while.

So, to answer the question. The longest I've owned a car was 3 years and it was a great little Ford Ranger.
