there is NO warranty or TSB concerning 05+ frames. if yours rusts out you are most likely SOL currently. The members fighting Toyota as I type this will be the force to start a TSB or recall.

Frames are rusting from the inside out where the metal is laminated in the boxed sections. No way to "paint" that area.

on a case by case basis. some people are getting screwed majority and have trucks they paid 15-20k that are worthless and some people are being given new frames and only out a few grand for their time and rentals.

Either way - if you have frame rot report it to Toyota and the NTSB.

Being in Pa with that many miles it doesn't look too bad. Of course there could be areas that are worse that we can't see.

Doesn't look that bad to me.
Oh and toyota replaces frames on 05+ tacomas just so you know. I have a few friends that are techs and replace them all the time. Maybe there isn't a tsb  I don't know . I don't keep up with that stuff. But when it has holes they replace them.

so far, URD throwout bearing kit(sleeve), weathertechs, 285/70/17's on Ion 17x9 and OME 885s and Dakars and nitro sports. BHLM
Doesn't look that bad to me. I also went north to buy mine (Philadelphia) and asked for pics of the frame before I made the drive. My frame looks about the same or maybe a little worse but still solid around the boxed part. I chose to go north because of the price difference. I just couldn't bring myself to pay nearly 20 grand for a truck with 100k which is what they were going for around here in KY and down south. So I started looking for a well taken care of truck up north and found mine in Philly for 16k and a decent frame and needing a throw out bearing. Now I am very pleased with it and I don't owe a dime on it. If its priced decent and doesn't have body rust I'd go for it.
