    That's a Giant Desert Hairy Scorpion. Sting is like a bad bee sting. The only one you have to really worry about in Arizona is the Arizona Bark Scorpion (Centruroides). That sounds like what you had, ThisGuy. They are small, and can be bright orange. Very poisonous and potentially deadly.

    Just killed a Black Widow in our post light in the front yard.

    We noticed spider webs all over the light fixture, but not your average spider web with a circular pattern, it was just a mess of webs.

    This sucker was big he had a leg span of about 2", very shiney Black and moved fast when I got near it. There was several egg sacks in there too. White spikey looking balls about 3/8" roundish shape.
    We've been out to Phoenix twice this year....I wonder if we brought some back with us ?

    don'tthink your to safe in NC i was doing a land nav course at fort bragg and i almost stepped on a copperhead snake. no matter where you live there's at least one or two kinds of critters that can kill you
