I am not 100% knowledgeable on this stuff so please don't come at me like an ass I have a 2012 2wd Tacoma. Currently sitting on 4" spindles, 2.5 inch coils and Bilstein 5100's. From what I'm told I'm basically fully maxed out on stock UCA's. Alignment won't stick and I've basically fucked these $1200 tires because they've all worn down incorrectly. I have been told that if I get some aftermarket SPC control arms that I could possibly get some more lift out of this truck. Some shops have told me I can't go any higher and other shops told me they don't recommend it. I'm a bit hard headed so just looking for advice from other Tacoma owners. Basically if I can go any higher I would like to, but without sacrificing ride quality because truck rides pretty good at the moment. Any help is appreciated!

Welcome aboard. I would definitely look into aftermarket upper control arms to get your alignment back in spec. You can go higher once you get aftermarket control arms, but i'd want to keep that at around 7" total (4" spindles and 3" additional lift from coilovers) to make sure you're able to get a good alignment with the aftermarket uppers. Or you can purchase aftermarket uppers that specify they're good for the 2.5-3.5" lift range for example, which would allow you to be in the 6.5-7.5" total lift range. Also, if you want to maintain ride quality, i'd find a longer spring for your coilovers that is the same spring rate as you have currently. That should provide additional lift while leaving ride quality unchanged. Hope this helps some.

    Cheers,
    Robert
