Pro = I pound nails, natural ice, and applebee's waitresses and in the next recession my lunch will be eaten by the repo man if I don't sell this thing, along with the wake boat. It will be at that moment that the waitress I shacked up with monkey branches to some other dude. I might live in Corona, but the house is leased and as soon I was out of work I had to move back mom's house in San Jacinto. All those gym gains well they've turned to flab now. I can't afford a gym membership or supplements.

Good shocks are way cheaper than a locker, and easier to add.

Thank you all for the replys.
As far as the pro it just felt for me a little to bare bones in terms of creature comforts and the interior of the pro to me is just a little to plain.
    Personal preference.
I think ill look at the trd offroad with the package options and test drive a few.
Now only to figure out where to stash a full size cobra 29 cb radio!

Thank you all i appreciate it!

Not really. Are you familiar with the LOKKA? Fast install, cheap and always working.

That is not as easy as it sounds! Trust me, I finally broke down and bought new from dealership and had it paint matched.

Everyone is over here hating on the SR. It works fine as a sandbox for you to add whatever you want to it so that you're not paying for things twice. For example, you're paying for "upgraded" shocks, but you're going to put kings on anyway. Definitely, do the math and figure out what can be added easier/cheaper. In most cases, the aftermarket parts are going to be better than OEM.

GET A TRD. OR is best IMO because of the locker. TRD sport is also fine. Also make sure you get the 4x4. Even if you don't need it. The trd and the 4x4 will hold it's value over the long term. It's only $3-4k more right now. When you go to sell in 10 years, it will still be worth $3-4k more. And it will be more desirable.

Limited = Boomer Bonnie traded in the Avalon because potting soil bags and flowers. She looked at the Subaru, but she's still married to Bill. She want's to be the cool grandma and sometimes blazes up with her grandson. Her daughter doesn't know this, but a little undermining doesn't hurt.

Very fortuitous ... I followed the hood swapping thread for about a year and no luck. There are an awful lot of white Tacoma’s in SoCal and very few that want to give up their scooped hoods!

Well, I bought a SR, DCSB, because I don't like paying thousands of dollars for stickers. There, I said it. I don't need a bunch of electric driving aids - I know how to drive on road and off. It has more comfort and convenience than any truck I've ever had - including back up camera, electric locks, Bluetooth, and automatic high beams which is just the coolest. I saved a crap ton of money on an amazing truck. It didn't have a hood scoop but 10 minutes with the Sawz-All fixed that.

Get what you want but compare what you're really getting. Ask how much you're paying for a decorative package versus real capability.

A SR will get you there, Just needs tires like they all do.
A Sport can handle really well, I bet it out drives the Off Road at speed. But once you put an aggressive tire on, that equals out some.
An Off Road comes with rear locker, but most that will use this tend to modify the shocks and what not. Do you really need a locker? Will the fire trucks make it to the places you may need a locker? However, the Off Road is the same price as the Sport, so money wise, probably the best purchase.
A limited, well it’s the fancy one.
