This truck is a work truck - not a lot of fancy mod's here, but it's getting the job done!
I'd offer to fly out and get it instead of having it delivered for that price... I bought my 1998 for $4,300 because it was beat to crap and back two separate times (only thing good was the drivetrain - motor, tranny, etc)... it had 160K on it when I bought and I've put 12k on it, but if you check out my build thread, I've put some work into it...

So, like I said, if its that good of a deal, fly out and pick that truck up! If, when you get there, it sucks... consider it a small vacation and fly back home... southwest offers no change fees so if you buy the round trip and you like the truck, your return ticket is still good (and can be used to fly elsewhere... FYI

It's all good, just keeping ya away from the land mines.

BTW, neat thing about the Bible in your sig. Not much of a Christian this days, but it's nice to see that others care.

and for good reason IMO, the biggest one to me is that plastics always degrade over time and can get very very brittle. I plan on keeping my tacoma for the long haul and don't want to worry about my bed shattering once the truck is 20+ years old. Plus mounting things to the bed becomes more tricky.

I think they're a great Idea for something like a ridgeline or avalanche, but that a plastic bed isn't really in line with the never die spirit of the tacoma.
