I'm pretty sure you're right! The SR moldes don't have badging on the side like the other trims

There's this thing called a test-drive, perhaps you've heard of it?
We have several 3rd gen Karen threads going 24/7, or feel free to drop a deuce any old place...

I had a 1st gen tundra for nearly 19 years, was a good truck till the repairs, and maintenance just caught up with its nearly 300k mileage. There's nothing wrong with these v6 gen3 tacomas, once you turn off most of the electronic nanny bs toyota installed in them for owners that just can't drive. These tacomas have learning transmissions. If an auto, I believe there's a certain way when new, you have to drive them, or you end up with a wonky performing transmission which can make, or break a test drive.

Co-worker has a SR with black bumpers, no fog lights nor back seats.

I agree. Guy I know bought a 2018 taco with 50k and I thought he was crazy. He’s at 150k now. My dad bought an 04 with 150 and is close to 300k. They’ve had good luck but I think it’s the exception and not the rule. So many people abuse their vehicles that even a used vehicle with 10k makes me nervous.

Totally agree. Sometimes you get lucky, but I would rather not take that chance at this point unless it was like a grocery getter or something
