Hey I recently found some info out that will help me with some Financial aspects of going to school... this is 100% but I've been taking a look at some dirt bikes to have something to do while I'm over in school at Oroville, California. Im looking for something cheaper (like under 1500) just that I can kind of thrash I guess to see if I really like riding. I don't mind really what kind or how old. Just thought I'd ask what people have or recommend. Only have ever really ridden when I was a little kid and that wasn't much. Thanks a lot guys!

You are probably going to have a hard time finding anything in that price range. I would look for an older 2stroke like a 2002 CR250, or YZ250. Less maintenace than an old four stroke, and those last version Japanese two strokes were fairly bomber. I am partial to the Honda since that's what I always road. I had a 2002 CR250 that i road until about two years ago that had a crap ton of hours on it and it kicked over 1-2 kick every time. Just put a top end in it every 100 hours or so. Top end kit was like $150 with gaskets.

You could find a nice used pit bike for under $1500. :bikewhoops:
