I've been looking around from time to time for years and have never seen a 1st Gen anywhere.

    A few tweaks
Not related to anything, but a cool story....

I had an FJ-40 for a number of years. I used to see a nice Jeep on the way home from work that was obviously a wheeling rig.

One day I was behind him at a traffic light and he jumped out and came to my window. He handed me a matchbox FJ40 that was the same color as mine!

He said he was toy shopping with his son and saw it and knew he had to get it for me!

My 40 is gone, but I still have the matchbox unopened.

Googling around, it seems a company called "Motor Max" makes (made?) them...
