    Hello everyone,
I'm looking for a first gen tacoma reliable enough in order to tow my motorcycle to the track(~200 miles 1 way) and use to get to class and work when it's raining. I really like the idea of a 2wd 4 banger for fuel efficiency and I won't need much towing power.
I'm a student in the Orlando area of Florida and have found a few I'm interested in. Which of these would you recommend and why?

    1. Pros: Super low miles, manual
Cons: Not a fan of the decal but livable, uncertain of the maintenance history, no ABS as far as I know, would need to work down price to fit budget
    2. Pros: easily my favorite looks wise of the bunch, well maintained and has records from the dealership, lots of new parts not all listed
Cons: higher mileage, I think it's been lifted/modified but unsure
    3. Pros: Recently rebuilt engine
Cons: bad paint, sketchy gauge cluster swap
    4. Pros: Lots of new parts, manual
Cons: Slightly out of price range if he won't budge
    5. Prow: Cheapest, new parts
Cons: Not a fan of red but whatever
    6. None of them, save my money and wait for a better one

I'm trying to narrow it down to 2 or 3 to take a look at and then decide from there, thanks for looking and I appreciate any feedback I can get!

1 or 2. But I would say get an access cab. More room to throw stuff in and still have a passenger. Good Luck.

#1 by far. Lowest miles, decals can be removed with a heat gun, no ABS is better on 1st gens. Mine used to have it, I could pump the brakes faster myself than the ABS modulator could.

Well get a 2.4l 5 speed if youre looking for the most mpg gain, but if youre willing to sacrafice the 2-3mpg w/ an auto get an auto, but a manual will last you longer

I agree with the above (1 or 2) if confined to your list. However would broaden your search beyond facebook as there's most likely better options out there, including access cabs.

For real though im selling a 2004 double cab pre-runner. All the looks of a 4wd without the 4wd. Its in great shape, had an ass load of work done to it.

    Atlanta GA/Charleston SC area. 199K miles. $7000
