Looking for a 2008 hood scoop insert

08 TRD OFF ROAD

I bought a new hood with a scoop but it didn't come with the insert, guide or plate and the company (www.Partstrain.com) doesn't sell them. I spoke with the local Toyota Parts Dept. and they are telling me that they need the part & vin number from the hood. They claim that there's several different hood scoop designs for 2008 and once I buy it, I cannot return it.
In my search online, I only find different colors for 2008 Tacoma.
