First post here! Been rooming for a while, good info and some nice rigs on here. Looking at getting a rtt but need a rack first. Any suggestions of shops in the area or anyone wanting to part with one. Thanks I live in gilroy but no wouldn't mind taking a little drive anywhere within 2 hours

Give @JLee a call at bamf. I'm sure he could make you one. He makes quality products, and is only maybe 1 1/2 hours from gilroy.

Nothing personal or trying to start shit, but I wouldn't trust the kb voodoo bed rack for a rtt. 14 gauge steel is fairly thin. With the weight of possibly 2 people plus tent and any gear attached could be an issue. Also it's bolt together, which to me means rattles. A fully welded tubed bed rack would be a much better option.

Op first post says gilroy, which is just south of sf Bay Area. Garlic capital of the world, the place smells heavenly.

Hopefully someone who owns my rack will chime in. @LunaticConcepts

It is incredibly strong. You could put three RTT's on it if there was room.

I never put a weight rating on it. It would very difficult to exceed it anyway.

If you don't know what a safe weight rating is how do you know if you are exceeding it?

People have been using it for RTT's with two people in it. So I'd say you would easily be safe with 500 pounds on it.

Nothing personal about you or your products, but I view them as very light duty. I Hope vendors test their products and not just rely on Internet joe blow saying "hell yea I parked my camaro on it and it's fine"

It is very heavy duty. I've personally installed it on a buddy's Tacoma.

It's more than an excellent choice for an RTT.
