Holy chit, I've done a lot already!!
My wife and I are on vacation in Washington visiting my Aunt & Uncle. My Taco is 2300 miles away, as I discuss a lid cover with my Aunt, who loves to sew and is great at it. Had I thought sooner, I would have brought the lid with me. But hind sight is 20/20, so I ask my fellow TW members for help. The best dimensions you can get, with location of latch button. Maybe a few pics? I fully appreciate any help, as she would love to make this up for me before we leave. Thanks in advance :)

No offense, I'm sure she is a talented seamstress. But there are some complex curves and angles on the lid and I fear without one on hand, no matter how good the measurements, it will look like this...

Thanks OZ! Just what I was looking for. Atleast I can show her the pictures and let her decide. I know it will have to be stretchy, so we'll see. I will let you know! Thanks again.

The top detaches from the hinge...I took mine all the way off to install my wo cover...nothing to see on inside but black plastic, like stock...on phone or would upload pics...

    Just like this...

Oh, just fyi..you're right on being stretchy...not sure how they did the alcantara/sued...

The wo cover looks like a shower cap with two chin straps before install, for lack of better words.

Elastic around perimeter and a strap near each pivot on hinge.

I know I will have to remove the lid for install. I forgot about having to cut around it. Hmm, toaster cover would still be a nice addition. :)

There is no relief cut for the hinge on the covers I have seen...

Might need to upgrade your inverter to get the most of your toaster cover mod :D most inductive devices use more than 400w.

Bagels and English muffins to go?

It's a polyester fabric we picked up at Jo-Ann's. She added a layer of quilt backing in between. I called her right away to tell her how much I loved it, because I was pretty damn impressed. Definitely not a toaster cover ;)
