    I edited the original post.

Did your "out the door" price include tax, title and tag? If so, what is your tax rate?

I went through USAA wich is basically run through ZAG, being military you can join USAA. They promised me that I would get any car at $580 below invoice which saved me about $4000. Each dealership is different but I would definitely recommend trying that option. If you add accessories the dealership also honors the below invoice pricing. The nice part of using USAA is the internet sales men at the dealer don't haggle, they just tell you the bottom line. I got my '11 DC TRD Off Road 33,112 MSRP for 28,400 using USAA. I would HIGHLY recommend it, plus your military, so Toyota might Honor that as well as the USAA car price.

IMO, with your $1000 military discount, a good deal would be "out the door" for 30K.

Try to get it a little bit lower then it would be a deal I think thats a little to high still after your discount and all. But do what you will be happy with later on.

go through USAA's car buying program...It's free to use and it puts your local dealers against one another competing in price. I used one quote from a dealer I don't like (really shady dealer) and went to a completely different one and they matched the price and took off an extra $2000

    just an idea though...

Just curious, what did you pay after TTL? Around $30,000?

I think you can do better. I just got the same truck in November without the JBL for $28,200 after the $500 and before TTL. I found Trucar.com to be very helpful. Put in the info for the truck you want and they will give you a quote from a local dealer. The quote I got was very good but from a dealer about 300 miles away. I was able to take that quote to closer dealerships and got the same deal.

I agree, but you need to know what % your state taxes are to be able to narrow it down even further. In Delaware, it is 3.75% of the price you paid for the truck in taxes.

$28,200 plus Tax, title and tags will put it around $30,000

    .

U S A A .... gets you (very, very close to) the best possible price from a dealer without connections and/or a lot more haggling.

Alright, I don't have USAA now, but I will look into it. Do I just have to open an account. Can I do it online?
