    Hey all,

I recently ordered a new stereo for my 2009 Taco. I am looking for a good walk-through on how to install a double-din DVD/CD stereo. I ordered it from Crutchfeild so it came with instructions for everything but they seem to be less detailed than i was expecting. My main concerns are wiring the speakers to the harness correctly and wiring the parking brake for the DVD functionality (I also ordered a bypass for this function that should be arriving today).

The stereo I ordered is the Pioneer AVH-4100NEX and I am just looking for some existing threads or tutorials that you all might be aware of. No need to write anything for me, just looking for some search help. Thanks in advance.

If you have an install questions call Crutchfield and talk with them. They have an excellent technical section that should help you out.

I've always found Crutchfield's "Master Sheets" helpful. If you buy the equipment from them, the sheets are free. (If not, they're ~$10.)

I installed that unit in my 2007 and it goes in easy. You did get the installation gear from Crutchfield, right? Their kits work very well. I have steering wheel audio controls and got the kit with the Crux module. It works great and is plug and play.

I second what has been said above, call Crutchfield if you have questions. They have very good service.

Here is a video for removal.

Thanks for the help guys. I did call crutch field when i had questions that weren't answered by the install guide. I ended up having to some minor customization to the mounting brackets to get a perfect fit but I am pretty pleased with the final product. Thanks again for the suggestions!
