you def need to think about how you tune and place hydro/air bumps too and most people overlook it. I think most likely don't need it. I have them in the rear but for the front I left it with superbumps. Unless you cycle a ton its overkill.

Front will be a simple TC +2 kit without bypasses, will def run a rubber bump up front.

Im heavily leaning towards an sua conversion now more than ever. And to keep costs down, if JD recs a rubber bump in the rear im cool with that.

100% agree. I'm front superbumps also and they are perfect. I jump and do some high speed stuff. Rear rubber bump stops tend to add a pogo effect to the rear. The hydro is cool but not practical as they do make noise and cost a lot more

I have the 12 inch shock perches welded on my diff, they shouldnt have any problems interfering with an sua kit?

How? The Wheelers smoosh down flat as a pancake when compressed. From your pics it looks like you lost travel. Not saying the air bumps aren't better, but this doesn't make sense to me.

The superbumps sit on a pedestal. Fully compressed its still like 3 inches till the top of the leaf springs. I just ran outside and measured and from the top of the leaf spring to the spot the stock bump strikes, the bump stop/u bolt flip plate take exactly 2.125" before the leaf would strike the stock bump stop area. Wheelers definitely eat up more space than that

That's math is super confusing to write out and probably I didn't make sense but the math works out that I gained up travel with how I have my bumps set now

OP for what it’s worth, I have TC +2 and super bumps up front with 2.5x12 Kings and All pro pack in the rear. The rear is definitely lacking in comparison to the front, very stiff with little up travel. I’ve went through multiple leaf’s packs trying to find a good match and honestly if I were to do it again I would just go with a good spring under kit. Personally I would either go with the JD kit or a full on DMZ SUA kit with bed cage. I’ll likely end up doing the DMZ kit due to its overall tried and true design.

Superbumps do not compress to flat as a pancake. You can literally see the step of how far they’ll compress in their design. Also, like @Vegasstunts pointed out, most flip kits put the bump stop on a pedestal to keep the leafs from going negative. You can gain bump with hydros but your leafs will hate you. :(

Just a little update on my own thread from 2 years ago.

Currently running Icon RXT option 1 with smallest leaf removed.
    Archive hangers and cross bar
    Archive 4.0 shackles
King 14inch 2.5s with adjusters through the bed
    King 2.0 hydro bumps.

I used the accutune archive kit shocks and made new hoses and fittings to be able to piggyback them and mount them inside of shock hoops.

Killer setup and is very versatile. Can flex like crazy and still do higher speeds on the beach with the compression turned up. The bumps get maxed out alot when going fast but that's because I only have 5 inches of uptravel.

Currently preparing for dmz SUA kit to complete the truck.
