I've been a weber dealer for years. Hands fown the have the best CSR out there. With they ignition system having a 10yr warranty and 5yrs on the burner tubes you can't go wrong. The 299.00 China junk might get you 2-3 yrs at the most with no replacement parts. Break that weber down twice a year and keep her out of the elements as much as you can...10yrs plus

I'm not a propane guy but I'll highly recommend a Weber. Nothing but luck with my charcoal one and a few friends that have a propane Wenerd and they swear by them.

I have a bottom of the line Weber Q that is 7-8 years old. I treated it like shit, never covered and it has lived outside all of its life. I replaced the grill playes two years ago. Nothing else has been replaced, and looks good as new when I clean it up.

    Weber FTMFW!

The entry Weber Sprit series is made in China. I had one for 2 years, was a nice grill compared to most other Chinese grills but wished I had ponied up a few more dollars and bought the USA made Genesis instead. Ended up selling it and buying the Genesis. If I had just bought it the first time it would have been cheaper.

I got a Weber Genesis 330 in Copper. Sideburner, sear station all the good stuff. Ive had it for a few weeks now, so far so good. Heats up great. I'll say this, I had no clue as to how heavy-well built- it was untill i had to get it out of the bed of my truck by myself. It makes my Monday- Friday meals a breeze.

For others who may peek in here, MHP needs to be on the shopping list.

    Made in USA.

I have a WNK model bought in '04. I replace the burner and ignition box about every 5 years, have replaced the briquet grate once.

Converted it from LP to NG when I got the house plumbed, but could easily go back if I moved or something.

Sits outside, no cover, albeit it is under a roof on a porch. So no direct rain, but occasional blowing rain and heavy fog get it wet.

The entire frame is aluminum with plastic side trays and of course and aluminum cook body.

Parts are easy to find online when needed at reasonable prices.

I have no idea how much one would run now, but I paid a bit over $600 in '04. Worth every penny over any big box bit.

Fantastic grill, I have the exact same one and get compliments on it at every cook out. Buy USA-made quality once, you'll have the grill for 10+ years easy.

    Exactly.

I purchased a 6 month old Weber Summit from a guy on Craigslist for $800 and it is the best grill I've ever had.

So in agreement with everyone else, Weber is the way to go for sure. Either a genesis if you can find a decent sale price or a spirit. If you live in a windy area make sure you weigh the spirit down since it is significantly lighter and tend to move in the wind.

same grill. I went forever replacing a cheap grill every 2-3 years. I cant believe i waited so long to get a weber. My favorite thing about them is the evenness of cooking. you're truly getting the whole cooking area.

I'll never buy another grill other than a Weber. After replacing grills every 2-3 years I feel stupid that I didn't buy a Weber sooner. I've had my Genesis for 5 years and have never regretted the price I paid for it. The next year I got a 22" kettle for Fathers Day and use it several times a week. Now looking to upgrade the 22" for a 26" kettle. Well worth the price in my opinion.

There is Propane (C3H8) which is LPG Liquefied Petroleum Gas, and is commonly used for fuel in gas grills.

    upload_2017-1-31_21-14-34.jpg

Then there is Natural Gas (NH3) which is mostly Methane, and is used not only for indoor heating and cooking appliances, but also as a vehicle fuel as an alternative to gasoline.

I have had a weber q1200 for 7 years... still going strong. Got it for tailgating, and the camper. I use the old weber kettle with lump but the wife was tired of waiting for the whole production of charcoal. The gas q was hers. For burgers, chicken breast, and pork chops it is excellent. It was a butt load of money for a portable grill, but it is worth every penny.
