I've read lots of threads about suspension systems and resulting benefits. It seems like most people are looking for a softer ride for trail performance. I'm really looking for a relatively tight suspension (like my stock Sport suspension) but with the ability to gain 2-3" of height all around for general clearance and aesthetics (just being honest). I do spend a fair amount of time off-road, but really just in fields, not climbing over rocks. This is also my daily driver, so I don't want to sacrifice road performance.

Is there a good kit that someone can recommend that is still fairly tight?

OME, run their springs rated for heavy weight and enjoy many thousands of miles of durability and stiffness.

BP-51? Medium load? Looks like there are a few options.

I'm running 886 coils, Dakar HD leafs and Nitrochargers at all corners. I removed the sway bar and it was still stiffer in the corners than stock on a 3 inch Lift

I'm running the 8112/8810 bilstien combo, no sway bar. Corners better than stock and you can haul through the rough stuff..

I'm running 5100's all around with OME 887s up front and HS 3 leaf AAL in rear. I loved how the sport suspension handled on the street, but it wasn't very forgiving off road. The set up I have now feels like the sport suspension on street and much more comfortable off road and it gave me a 2 inch lift all around.

I had a similar experience with my full OME suspension. On road it was almost Sports car-like, off road no give and very bouncy. I'm armored now, and off-road is great, on road is almost like stock, but slightly stiffer.

Bilsteins 5100s on the top setting, 4runner Gray TRD Pro Sema wheels, 285/70/17 Toyo AT3s, Sumo Bump stops, TRD exhaust, ECGS Clamshell bushing, 1/4 shim for the lean and one inch rear block, OEM Pro grill and garnish OEM TRD Skid plate, TRD CAI, Demon Brackets, Rigid Industries Pro fog lights, OEM Trail Rails sidebars, Diode Dynamics LED SL1 high and low beam lights, OEM Roof racks, Clazzio leather heated seats, Remote Start, TRD Pro shift knob, tinted windows, Rockford Fosgate 4 channel amp for the headunit and sub and amp combo, OEM Puddle lights, OEM tailgate lock, OEM bed mat, LED interior lights, OEM blackout kit for letters, JLT catch can, upgraded 27F toyota True Start battery, Vleds led tail light kit with Pro tail lights, OEM Rave4 side mirrors with convex spotters, just to name a few mods.
It's easy, I was in the same boat as you but I rarely go off road. Bilstein 5100s, set on 4th perch, 1/4 shim on driver's side for the lean, one inch block in the rear, front and rear diff drops. It sits almost level with a slight rake. It handles like my stock sport suspension and rides great, equally as well as my friend who has the same set up but with ome springs. By the way he is on the 2nd as they are sagging. For a nice ride, easy to align and a great stance which is higher than the Pro to give you some idea. I did wheels and tires too, mine looks like it came from Toyota set up this way. I think you would be hard pressed to find a better set up for the money, lifetime warranty on the Bilstein. Dollar for dollar its a great deal.IMG_20190502_071109566_HDR.jpg IMG_20181009_181855269_HDR.jpg

My 2nd time running across this picture on the forum, this is the only truck I've seen yet that I like better than mine. I need to run this exact setup as soon as $ allows!

You may want a digressive shock if it’s also your DD.

So you're into this for like what.... $600 with drops? Before wheels/tires of course. 4 shocks, 2 shims, 2 drops?
