While I was on a trip last month in Colorado. I received a donation slip for a CHP officer in Ouray County for speeding (69 in a 60). I've called a handful of attorneys in the area and was told they don't handle traffic tickets.

Does anyone know of a attorney that would be able to get it amended?

I currently have a clean record and don't want the points.

If you pay early they usually reduce it a few points.

Not worth the time or money to fight it imho

You got caught red handed, my dude. Take your licks and slow down next time.

Ouray isn't a place you wanna get too quick anyways. Lots of drop-offs.

Purely anecdotal, but I would think that the prosecutor would plea down less than 10 over on a clean record to something that carried a small fine and no points. That's a bitch to have to handle it from out of state though. :sorry:

If you pay it in the 20 day window the money goes to the state, you pay after that and it goes to the local county.

As it gets closer to the court date ya can call the court and they should be able to do a plea by mail since your out of state.

Having to pay a fine, and getting points on your license is meant to teach you a lesson. If you weasel out of it somehow, then the only lesson you've learned is how to beat the system.

Just pay the fine. You earned it.

Nope, not at all perfect. Just pay my tickets. Only reason to fight it would be if I thought I was wronged, baited or trapped.

Pay the fine. I bet Missouri and Colorado don't look for speeding tickets. So no points on your Mo license and insurance probably will never see it.
