i have a long weekend coming up next week and i want to find a lake and trees to camp at. no facilities necessary (or wanted). a nice little drive out would be awesome. ive been scouring the eastern sierras and came upon onieda lake, but im not sure i can drive all the way there. anyone have any suggestions?

i just put trail grapplers on to round out the truck; roof top tent, pelfrey sliders, icon stage four.... i leave for afghaniland in two weeks and would like to lake the most of my four days next week.

    Thanks!

We were just up by Shaver Lake outside of Fresno. There are lots of trails and remote camping around there in the Dinkey Lake/Creek Wilderness area.
