Mostly electrical shit that nobody cares about.
I don't understand, does previous warfighting experience give someone the ability to make higher quality plastic inlays?

Some people may let "being in the military" go to their heads. There's all sorts of personalities that I came across while on active duty for 25 years.

I needed structure and a springboard outta LA! There were family dynamics going on so leaving that all behind was my driving force. (I won't get into the details)

I was fortunate to be accepted in the USAF...my ASVAB scores were not high but qualified me for Material Facilities Specialist. (Warehouse Box Kicker--woohoo!)

I'm glad I stuck with it...like I said, I met my wife on my first overseas assignment to England.

These days, some people don't appreciate or acknowledge military service...a small percentage of the population that I have come across.

Heck, early on in my current position, one of my counterparts in Material Management Systems basically wanted me to forget everything I learned about Logistics in the military--He got an earful from me.

You're right about some highlighting their military status...all do it for some reason or other...look at my sig.

Everyone has their reason for presenting themselves in a certain way...I think you have to be honest, humble, positive and friendly in this life.

"Veteran" is just a label to categorize a subset of a population. It's meaning can be utilized, exploited, or leveraged in different ways or not at all.

In most cases it's used to qualify the credibility of business.

Weird discussion you all are having.

I don't use my status for any foreseen benefit.

Yes, I get a discount at Lowe's & Home Depot and the occasional business but I'm not expecting any special treatment.

I can only give a testimonial of my experience...which has been an immersion in different cultures.

You know, there are such things from cars and buses - even airlines.
And of course you can get passports...
    :crapstorm:

(Sorry - there are just too many clichés about the military...)

How was your trip to Kandahar, how about the Horn of Africa, get any cool pics of North Korea?

Sure anyone can fly to Paris, but the the military lets you see the real world.

Let me know if you can book a trip to McMurdo

    @vorkuta775

Luckily, I was just using the hitch for show...lol!

I was using it to keep drivers behind me at a distance...but I'm not doing that any more.
