True, though for a single cab I only have so much space to put stuff..haha. Definitely could go a lot further cost wise but..

And agreed. I'm not one to care much for stock systems but I was even a little surprised to find out how cheap the OEM speakers in my truck were.

I have a 2020, non JBL. I've upgraded all 6 speakers with Kicker speakers. Yes the speakers made a difference and yes, the sound varies slightly with different sources. The problem is not the speakers and it's not the source. The problem is there is no power to the rear speakers. You have to turn up the volume almost to the max and the fade totally to the rear to even get the rear speakers to get involved. Once you fade back a notch or two to the front, the rears disappear again.

Well... in a non JBL system, the HU is what powers the speakers. So wouldn't that be the 'source'?

I see the source as radio, phone BT, Sirius, etc,. Yes all through the HU which is also the amp. Regardless, the problem is still the rears have no power.
